Community Commitment 2008
Community Commitment is one of the largest single-day community service events on a college campus. Each year over 1,500 volunteers travel to different agencies in the Greater Columbus area for a morning of community service. This event is designed to kick the year off during Welcome Week with an act of service to the OSU and Columbus communities. This year Community Commitment will primarily focus on the issue of child advocacy such as equal access to education and creating suitable learning and living environments. Many of the service projects will be related to this topic. Also, there will be a guest speaker who will address the issue of child advocacy before the students go out to do their service.
